Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Buzmo ("we", "us") handles personal information when you use Buzmo Jobs at buzmo.co/jobs (the "Service"), including the website, the daily email and the MCP server used by AI tools.

1. Information we collect

• Account information: your email address, and the tag of the link that brought you to the Service, if any.
• Search settings: the roles, places, pay floor and exclusions you enter, and the short description of yourself you provide for drafts.
• Your connected X account: your X user ID and handle, and the access and refresh tokens X issues when you connect. The tokens are encrypted before they are stored, are used only to run your searches with read access, and are revoked at X and deleted when you disconnect or delete your account.
• Service records: the X posts we found for you, our labels for them, drafts written for you, and the jobs you mark as applied or skipped.
• Usage information, only with your consent: which matches were shown to you and where (email, website or AI tool), which jobs you opened, which links you tapped, and which drafts you requested. You give or withdraw consent with the checkbox in your search settings.
• Payment information: handled by Stripe. We receive a customer ID, subscription status and billing period. We do not receive or store your card number.
• Technical information: a hashed form of your network address, used only for rate limiting and abuse prevention, and kept for no more than two days.

2. How we use it

• To search public posts on X for jobs that match your settings, using your own connected X account with read access only, to label them, and to write drafts you request.
• To send you the daily email of matches and the sign-in emails you request.
• To run your free trial and subscription, and to enforce usage limits.
• With your consent, to improve matching. Usage information may be combined in aggregate with data from other Buzmo products to improve our services. We do not use it for advertising.

We never post, reply, send messages or apply to jobs on your behalf.

3. Service providers

We share information only with providers that run the Service for us:

• Neon (database hosting).
• Netlify (website and server hosting).
• Cloudflare (email delivery).
• Stripe (payments).
• Anthropic (AI processing). The text of public X posts and your search settings and description are sent to label posts and write drafts.
• X Corp. With your consent, we use the X API under your connected account to read posts and your basic profile (user ID and handle). On the dashboard, when you choose "Show the post", your browser loads the post from X, and X's own privacy policy applies to that content.

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. AI tools you connect

If you connect an AI tool through our MCP server, that tool can read your matches (post IDs, links and our labels), request drafts, mark jobs, and change your search settings. You authorize each tool when you connect it, and you can remove access by revoking the connection in the tool or by contacting us. What the tool does with that data is governed by its own terms.

5. Cookies

We use one strictly necessary cookie to keep you signed in. It is scoped to buzmo.co/jobs. We use no advertising or analytics cookies.

6. Retention

We keep your account data while your account is open. Sign-in codes expire after 15 minutes and are deleted within two days. When you delete your account, we delete your search settings, matches, drafts, usage history and sessions, and we replace your email address with a placeholder. Payment records are kept by Stripe as required by law.

7. Your choices and rights

• Turn off the daily email from your account page or the link in any email.
• Withdraw consent to usage information in your search settings at any time.
• Disconnect your X account from your account page. This revokes our access at X and deletes the stored tokens.
• Delete your account from your account page.
• Request access to or correction of your information by writing to [email protected]. California residents may exercise the rights provided under the California Consumer Privacy Act by the same route. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.

8. Security

Connections use HTTPS. Sign-in codes, sign-in links, session identifiers and AI tool tokens are stored only as one-way hashes. Access to production systems is limited.

9. Children

The Service is for job seekers and is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where local law requires). We do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes

If we make a material change, we will update this page and tell signed-up users by email before it takes effect.
